Mission Statement

" It takes the whole community to raise a child.
School is one part. Let’s work together.
               Together we’re strong. ”

The aim of Johnson Elementary School is to join with the parents, the students, the staff and the community to help develop the whole child to the extent of his/her abilities, so that he/she may become a productive, responsible, and self-reliant member of society while leading a personally rewarding life in a changing world.
To accomplish our Mission, we set goals and organize activities in the belief that:
  • Everyone can learn.
  • People learn in a variety of ways and at different rates.
  • Learning requires the active participation of the student.
  • Learning takes place when the learners are engaged, responsible, and respectful.
  • Learning is both an individual and group process.
  • Parents are the students’ primary teachers. Schools build on their work.
